Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, booking an appointment is essential as I am often with other customers, or out buying fabrics and trims.


How do I make an appointment?

Just email me a day and time that suits you within my office hours, and I’ll check my availability and get back to you.


Where do I park?

Please park on the street.

We share our driveway with the neighbours behind us, so coming down our driveway could block our neighbours access.


What is the lead-time for alterations?

The standard lead-time for alterations is 1-2 weeks, though complex alterations may require more time.

We will discuss this during your fitting appointment.


What is the lead-time for a custom garment?

4 weeks minimum.

If making multiple basic garments from the same pattern, you may be able to have 2 or 3 custom garments within this timeframe.


Will you make a custom garment from a commercial pattern?

No, Louisa K offers a fully customized service.

I make each pattern to fit my customers specific measurements and body shape. There is nothing standard about this service, everything is tailored to your needs.


How/when do I pay?

All payment details and terms will be listed on your quote.

Depending on the services required, you may need to pay a 25% deposit prior to any work being carried out.

The invoice must be paid in full prior to collecting your garment/s.

Please arrange payment via bank transfer. Cash is not accepted.


If I am not satisfied, can I bring my garment back?

Absolutely! Your satisfaction is the most important part.

If you are unsatisfied with any detail of your garment, please contact me and I will amend the garment to your specifications at no further cost, provided that this is within 2 weeks of receiving your garment and is not additional to the original alterations or styling agreed upon. After 2 weeks, you will be charged for any further amendments.
